English as a New Language (ENL) teacher Mrs. Susan Layton describes the context of the ENL program – teaching our non-native English speaking students reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Specifically, in the ENL Transitioning II class, students focused on reading by exploring the memoir “One Year Off” by David Elliot Cohen.
Mrs. Layton also described the midterm evaluation for this class and spotlighted ENL student Yili who showcased her oral presentation based on the memoir that was explored throughout the term.
