Knox Competes at Winter Equestrian Festival
The Knox School’s Varsity Equestrian Team recently returned home after spending the past three months competing at the Wellington Equestrian Festival (WEF) in West Palm Beach, Florida. As the longest-running equestrian event in the world, this year’s festival featured athletes from 29 different countries and more than 6,000 horses. Under the guidance of master horseman and Knox Equestrian Director, Mr. James North, our Knox student-athletes flourished on the national stage. Mr. North’s experience and guidance kept the students feeling confident and prepared in the ring while our Knox educators supported the students in their remote learning. And, in the midst of a global pandemic, the school kept everyone safe with wonderful chaperones, a private barn and beautiful living quarters. We are so proud of the team’s many accomplishments at this year’s show, happy to have them back on campus, and look forward to seeing more from them in the future!

When Knox athletes triumph over the competition, we celebrate by ringing the Victory Bell on the main lawn in front of Bancroft-Phinney Hall.
